Proof positive that if you give 'em and inch, they'll take a mile.
It took long enough for real journalists to take them on but it's finally happening!
Talk about an abuse of freedom of speech.

Mystery Surrounds Death of U.S. Solider
AP | October 05, 2007
Flashback: Were War Critic Soldiers Killed To Send Message?
There is a new mystery in Afghanistan and at its heart is the death of a U.S. soldier and the family she left behind.
Top lawmakers have gotten involved and are seeking answers from the Pentagon about Ciara Durkin and the details surrounding her death. She was killed by a gunshot wound, inside the tightly secured Bagram air base in Afghanistan.
Massachusetts Army National Guard Spc. Ciara Durkin, 29, on home leave in early September, gave her siblings what now seems ominous advice. She told them that if anything were to happen to her while she was serving to investigate.
Friday, Ciara was found dead near a church in the Bagram airfield in Afghanistan. She had been shot in the head. So far, the Army only has said that her death was not combat related.
"We need answers. We'd like answers. We want to know how our beloved Ciara spent the last moments of her life and why was she taken from us," Ciara's sister Maura Durkin said.
Ciara was part of a National Guard Finance Unit and her siblings say recently she had told them that she was uncovering some things she didn't like and that she was making enemies.
They thought she was joking.
Most frustrating to the family, the Army is offering very little information and no explanations. A military spokesman told ABC News that a "round-the-clock" investigation is under way.
Sen. John Kerry, D-Mass., who has been helping the family, says it's not enough and he and is demanding answers.
In a letter to Defense Secretary Robert Gates, Kerry asked why the family had not been given autopsy results and why the Army hadn't answered the family's request for an independent autopsy.
The Durkin family, nine siblings in all, moved to Massachusetts from Ireland when Ciara was a girl. Ciara was openly gay, but her brothers and sisters doubt that had anything to do with her death.
"We keep being told it takes time, and while we understand and appreciate that, we are desperate for information," sister Diedre Durkin said.
Ciara's brother Pierce Durkin said she sounded heartbreakingly upbeat on the day she died. It was his birthday and she left him a voice mail.
"I had just missed her call and she said 'Hey Lorbell, I love you very much, I can't wait to see you,' and then she started singing 'Happy Birthday,'" he said.
Pierce said that an autopsy has been done and that results will be delivered Friday. He added that the family plans to commission an independent autopsy.

The National War Tax Resistance Coordinating Committee (NWTRCC) is launching a new campaign: the 2008 War Tax Boycott.
[I,G]http://blogs.salon.com/0002007/images/Boston-Tea-Party.jpg[/IMG]
Here?s the background: 1,500 American anti-war activists were surveyed recently, and they were asked, among other things: ?Would you consider participating in a one-year commitment to refuse a portion of your federal income taxes and redirect your taxes to a humanitarian cause if thousands joined you publicly??
Of those who had never done any tax resistance before, fully two-thirds said yes. (Of those who had done tax resistance in the past but were not currently resisting, more than three-quarters said yes.)
So over the last several months, members of NWTRCC have organized just such a campaign. Early endorsers of the campaign include Voices for Creative Nonviolence, the National Campaign for Nonviolent Resistance, and the Nonviolent Direct Action Working Group of United for Peace and Justice.
What You Can Do
If you?re already a tax resister (and I know many of you are!), we need you to sign up at http://wartaxboycott.org/ so we can add you to our roster. If you?re comfortable including your name and home town in promotional material related to the tax strike, check the box on the registration form to allow this. The more people register, the bigger the campaign becomes, and the more persuasive our numbers are to people who are hesitating, just waiting for the bandwagon to get crowded enough.
If you?re not yet a tax resister, now?s the time to start. Sign up for the campaign on-line (if you?re not sure whether you?re ready to resist or not yet, just check the box beside ?I need more information before I can commit to resisting this year.?) Then read the brief Getting Started in War Tax Resistance guide (also available at http://wartaxboycott.org/) to learn what steps you need to take now so that you can join us in resisting some or all of your federal income tax next April, and to learn all about how the government is likely to react to your resistance.
Register, Resist, then Redirect
Once you?ve registered with the campaign and decided how and how much you are going to resist, NWTRCC encourages you to take that money you?re refusing to give to the war funders in Congress, and redirect it instead to a more worthy cause. (If you?re resisting taxes by lowering your income below the tax line, you may not have anything to redirect, but that?s okay too!)
The 2008 War Tax Boycott campaign is recommending two charities: The Common Ground Health Clinic in New Orleans, and Electronic Iraq?s Direct Aid Initiative for Iraqi refugees. You can also join with others to redirect your taxes through a tax resisters? redirection fund, such as the People?s Life Fund run by Northern California War Tax Resistance. Of course, it?s your money and you?re the best judge of how it should best be spent.
Whatever you choose, please let NWTRCC know about it so we can keep a running tally of how much money resisters have diverted away from the government and toward worthwhile projects. (If you donate to Common Ground or the Direct Aid Initiative, let them know that you?re donating redirected taxes and they?ll do the tallying for us.)
Spread the Word!
Once you?ve signed up, don?t be shy about it! Let people know you?ve taken a stand. And the next time somebody complains to you about the War or about the government, ask them if they?ve stopped paying for it yet and direct them to http://wartaxboycott.org/.

WASHINGTON (AFP) - US President George W. Bush said Wednesday that he had warned world leaders they must prevent Iran from getting nuclear weapons "if you're interested in avoiding World War III."
"We've got a leader in Iran who has announced that he wants to destroy Israel," Bush said at a White House press conference after Russia cautioned against military actio n against Tehran's supect atomic program.
"So I've told people that, if you're interested in avoiding World War III, it seems like you ought to be interested in preventing them from having the knowledge necessary to make a nuclear weapon," said Bush.

I was watching washington journal this morning and found out there are 770,000 Americans on bush's terrorism watch list and it's growing by about 20,000 Americans per month!
Is that disgusting or what? Talk to any one of those people and you'll be one of the 20,000 next month!
Un-American all the way! The Imperial Presidency can do no wrong according to Fox News though.
**** , Rupert Murdock must pay well, for them all to sell out their own country like they do!
Even Dennis Miller is nothing but a rich traitor now and appears on Bill O'Reilly on a regular basis. It's a sickening time in America, imo!
BTW, what is wrong with this picture?

day 1654 of MA. Ill admit what I posted on Classmates was wrong. Iraq is not the next Vietnam........IRAQ IS THE NEXT KOREA and we have as of yet ended that war. Actually come to think about it Iraq is the begenning of Armageddon. They stopped the doomsday clock at 2 minutes to midnight, well my friends heres how I see it.
Stroke one at midinght was 911.
Stroke 2 was the invasion of Afgahnastan
Stroke 3 was the invasion of Iraq
Stroke 4 was mission acomplished
Stroke 5 was when bush threatened WW3 on Iran
Right now we are waiting for the sixth stroke. I dont need to tell you what happens on the 12th stroke I wont be here to post it nor will anybody else. Sorry for being so dark on it but it needed to be said. Even though the chimes are ringing in the midnight hour on ole DD it is not too late.
